2020Sichuan-Taiwan Industrial Design Awards officially launched on May 6 this year,with the theme of “Activate Potential, Deepen Innovation, Optimize Talents”. Atpresent, STIDA welcomes outstanding entries from companies, designers, college teachersand students home and abroad. The work collection lasts from May 6^thto September 20^th.

    This year, the competition works will be divided into 9 categories including electronicinformation, equipment manufacturing, agricultural machinery, food and beverageprocessing production, packaging machinery, non-electronic medical equipment,advanced material production and processing equipment, energy and chemicalenvironmental protection and energy conservation, digital economy, cultural andcreative products for cities and scenic spots, healthy and beautiful life andfuture stars. “This classification is closer to Sichuan’s ‘5+1’ modernindustrial system, and will help upgrade the real economy.’’ Relevant staff fromSichuan Federation of Industrial Economics said.

    It is reported that all the entries will be evaluated by rounds of selection, and eventuallyone special prize will be awarded, which will be supported by one million Yuan.At the same time, the awarded work will be displayed on www.stida.cn for a longtime after the awarding ceremony.

    The Sichuan-Taiwan Industrial Design Awards has been held since 2011 and has beensuccessfully held for nine years. STIDA has become an important part of theexchanges and cooperation between Sichuan and Taiwan, and an important linkbetween designers and industrial enterprises on both sides of the strait.

  STIDA is guided by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, supportedby 8 provincial-level departments including Sichuan Provincial Party CommitteePropaganda Department, Sichuan Provincial Party Committee Taiwan AffairsOffice, Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Department, and so on. STIDAis co-hosted by Sichuan Federation of Industrial Economics and Chinese NationalFederation of Industries, co-organized by Taiwan Industrial Design Association.
